In 2007 several members from the Rich River Equestrian Club met with Elmore Field Days Committee members and discussed the idea of establishing an equestrian park on site.
With internal tracks and lasering already set-up, the Elmore Events Centre was the ideal location to develop a top level equestrian venue for northern and central Victoria.
The official launch of Elmore Equestrian Park was held on October 4th, 2007 during the annual Elmore Field Days.
Since that day, many hours of hard work and dedication by the Elmore Events Centre Committee and Rich River Equestrian Club members have gone into presenting Elmore Equestrian Park as it is today.
Rich River Equestrian Club has contributed funds raised at our annual events towards improving the facility with the latest contribution being the installation of the additional office space as well as a large 9 m x 20 m shed to provide much needed shade for spectators and riders.
We trust that you will enjoy our pictorial history of the building of Elmore Equestrian Park and we look forward to adding more improvements to the venue in the coming years.

2009 was a busy year that started with replacing the old rope and peg arena surrounds with black poly pipe. A large number of tape measures were destroyed in the process!
With the completion of the new arena surrounds we ran our annual March competition still using the old catering building.
In late 2009 the Elmore Events Centre committee gained approval for the construction of a new office and toilet/shower block.
The Elmore Field Days catering hut is moved around the venue as
80 double rail yards were also constructed in the float parking area.
2010 saw 32 day yards built in the float parking area and the purchase of new arena markers.
A large round yard and two stallion yards were added in the float parking area.
The Elmore Events Centre committee replaced the old cyclone fence alongside the sponsors area and warm-up arena with a wooden fence making the area more attractive as well as safer for competitors.
Trees were planted in the spectator area as well as the end of each arena to eventually provide shade for judges.
The next project for Rich River Equestrian Club was a couple of years in the making with our goal to erect a large roofed area to provide much needed shade and shelter for spectators. It was finally erected in early 2014, just in time for our annual March event.
We also purchased a second hand portable building in order to extend the office space for equestrian events.
